wow... i just spend the last two hours finding out how much i am legend (the movie) sucks.
the plot had endless holes which make my brain hurt.
the cinematography wasn't anything special (much like one of the director's first videos)
i guess the UL clip would have been redeeming if we were all 15 again...

a new year...
it's kinda scary how fast life goes, i have way too much to accomplish before 2009!
hopefully with all the effort i have been putting in as of late, 2008 will be my year. then they'll have to update those red paper place mats at your favorite chinese restaurant to read: 2008, year of the jew.

i had an interesting trip to nashville this weekend for the united jewish communities general assembly.
as much as i'd love to type out the entire schpiel, i'd prefer you people (aka my lj friends and best friends fo-evaz) call me so i can tell you all about it on the phone.
i will say one thing... i motherfucking LOVE biscuits and gravy!

school is going pretty good this semester, with the exception of the exam i am terrified to take tomorrow. i made some friends in my organizational com class and had a few beers with them after class at the cass cafe.
work has been quite humorous too. discovering a downloads folder from the newsgroup alt.binaries.beastiality on a client's computer is a great way to feel extremely uncomfortable in their home.
i am pretty stoked because i'll be doing some traveling soon. the jews are sending me to the jew convention in... NASHVILLE. the trip is fully subsidized, so i am excited to partake in the United Jewish Communities General Assembly this november. i have no idea what goes on at a convention like this... but! its at the gaylord opryland resort. i've been to the gaylord texan in dallas a couple times and those trips were amazing. so if i get bored, i know i can always end up sitting in a hot tub with a delicious beverage... no! even better! a pulled pork sandwich in my hand.
mmmn! nothing like feasting on some cloven hoof at the jew convention.
NERD ALERT! instead of studying, i am staying up till 3am so i can play Portal when its released... old habits die hard.

a: i have a sweet job right now.
b: i'm really tired because i decide to make 3am livejournal updates

d: the other day i was bored (yes, we are going to call it bored) so i decided to go lurk around jdate, which eventually forced me to create an account. this however backfired on me when i found out that the site has a built in tracker and every jewess i oogled at knows some asshole from troy without a picture who hasn't graduated college yet was lurking around. good thing they don't know i'm still living at my parents house. oh the shame!
edit: those bastards are even emailing me now trying to give me pointers such as:
Search beyond your preferred age - a few years won't matter when you grow old together! (perhaps maybe the fact that they have kids my age might put a wrench into things?)
Add and subtract a few inches from your preferred height – you won't notice the difference when you're cuddling. (i could only hope this is in relation to penis size)

after a riveting 3 hours of sleep i got up and flew from dtw to jfk.
nyc! fuck! its ridiculous! brooklyn is fucking amazing. today's activities started with walking the boardwalk from coney island down to brigton beach (russians are EVERYWHERE over there, its like being in another country) and back again. eating scary russian food i've never tried before (and it and half bad) while drinking vodka with my father's childhood friends, then wandering around manhattan for about 3 hours. i thought i'd be a bit more awe-stricken by time square(at night), but its still sweet regardless. i'm tired as balls and i've only got one picture of me in nyc (hanging outside 30 rock).
i dont have to be at the airport tomorrow until 7:30pm so tomorrow's agenda includes:
eat a nathan's hotdog for breakfast (maybe a corndog)
ride the subway for the first time
hang out with tammy and kate
wander around central park
have lunch at tom's restaurant (the one from seinfeld)
i'll try to upload some pictures when i get to israel.

i am leaving tomorrow on a jet plane. my destination will be new york city where i will spend one glamorous day in the big apple followed by ten days in israel. then another day in nyc.
